Barrot Cube Lamp
Sculptural cubist table lamp made in collaboration with Connecticut based ceramicist Charlie Dumais of Dumais Made. Hand built using locally sourced stoneware clay from Sheffield, MA, this cubist inspired ceramic lamp shade is texturized with a sgraffito (scratch) technique using a stainless steel Japanese serrated rib to mimic the appearance of rawhide whipstitching. Base features a linear texture hand applied by Dumais using an antique wooden spaghetti rolling pin and is completed with antique brass fittings and a black cloth cord with in-line switch.
