Floral Workshop with Nicolas Beckman

Floral Workshop with Nicolas Beckman

Saturday March 21st
10am - 12pm
Registration is limited to 15

Join Nicolas Beckman of NICK.FLORAL for a spring garland workshop exploring composition through line, movement, and material contrast. Working with fresh, dried, preserved, and faux botanicals, participants will create a piece designed to live easily within the home. The focus is on structure and gesture—how a garland can feel both natural and intentional. Installed in place, it will dry gradually and remain as a quiet record of the season.

This class is open to all floral designers, both casual and gifted. You'll spend the morning honing your personal style under Nicolas' guidance and return home with a beautiful  garland.

Nicolas Beckman is a Los Angeles–based floral artist whose work sits somewhere between arrangement and installation. Working under the name NICK.FLORAL, he is known for large-scale botanical compositions that feel architectural, intuitive, and a little bit theatrical. His pieces often live in restaurants and public spaces, where they shift and soften over time—drying, fading, and becoming part of the room’s atmosphere rather than just decorating it. He’s less interested in perfect bouquets and more interested in gesture, structure, and how flowers can hold emotional weight.

In L.A., Beckman is closely associated with chef Nancy Silverton and her restaurants Osteria Mozza and Pizzeria Mozza, where his dramatic dried and preserved installations have become part of the visual language of the spaces. His work moves easily between hospitality, teaching, and public-facing projects, bringing a thoughtful but hands-on approach to every scale—from immersive installations to something as intimate and joyful as a spring garland.
