Plaster Casting Workshop
L'Atelier La Soufflerie chez Nickey Kehoe
Touching down from Paris, our friends Sébastien and Valentina of La Soufflerie will spend a week at Nickey Kehoe hosting four exclusive workshops. Learn step-by-step how they create their iconic plaster figures and walk away with your own sculpture.
In this workshop you will work with La Soufflerie to create your own plaster sculpture, beginning with preparing the molds, mixing plaster, preparing and pouring the cast, and unearthing your final piece. During the course Sébastien and Valentina will also illuminate more about their work and how they also create their signature blown glass sculpture and glassware.
All molds are those used by La Soufflerie in their own work, styles will include their iconic heads which originated from a restoration project of the Saint Sulpice Church in Paris Sébastien did years ago. Additional molds are from other French artists from the beginning of the 1900s.
