Santiago Pani is a Mexican multidisciplinary artist currently living in The Netherlands. His studio is found within the larger studio and artist residency space he has transformed into being from what was previously a cheese factory. His grandfather Mario Pani was the architect of a hacienda just outside of Mexico City where Dutch artists came to live, study and build on their body of work. This painting from Pani comes from a larger portrait series entitled, "Personal Universe", which is inspired by anonymous characters and memories of people stored in the subconscious throughout our lives that often, in both waking and dreaming, they visit us again to interact and influence our stories once again.
