Ceramic Painting Workshop

Join us for a Saturday morning ceramic painting workshop with our dear friend and artist Rebekah Miles. Participants will enjoy an afternoon painting with Rebekah and have an exclusive first-look at her beautiful new spring capsule.

You may recognize Rebekah from the multitude of incredibly charming hand painted vases, vessels and lamps we've been so pleased to carry here at Nickey Kehoe. Using a variety of colorful underglazes, participants will have an opportunity to design and paint their very own ceramic dish with Rebekah. An array of seasonal flowers will be available in the studio to use as artistic inspiration.

Finished pieces will be fired at Rebekah's studio and available for pickup at Nickey Kehoe on Monday, 2/12. 

Finished pieces measure approx 6" x 4".

Rebekah Miles was raised on her family's avocado ranch set outside of the coastal town of Carpinteria, near Ojai, California. She graduated from Scripps College in 2000, and received her MFA from Portland State University in 2006 with a focus on painting and art history. In 2016 she returned to the ranch where she now has a studio and home with her young daughter, Inez. Rebekah views her pieces as contemporary heirlooms; "the motifs come from a sense of place and of beauty, using mostly found imagery combined with my own patterns. I like mixing and making my own colors, then seeing the results after they are glaze fired.”
